Gokyo Valley to Everest Base Camp via Cho-La Pass is an adventure around both sides of Khumbu Valley. Trekking towards the picturesque destinations within major highlights around the Khumbu and Everest region. The first phase of the adventure leads on the main trails from Lukla to the famed Namche Bazaar.
The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and the lovely Sherpa village steeped with traditional cultures. As well as entering the world heritage sites, the Sagarmatha National Park is enriched with the famous mountains. Like Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Ama Dablam include an array of stunning peaks.
From the park on the winding uphill to Namche Bazaar, a fascinating place to enjoy an extra day for acclimatization. Spending a pleasant and exciting time in Namche Bazaar, the capital of Khumbu Villagers.
The adventure continues towards our first destination at scenic Gokyo Valley, on leaving the main trail. The walk follows above the tree lines towards the beautiful Gokyo Valley of emerald-colored lakes.

From Gokyo climb to the high scenic viewpoint of Gokyo-Ri, which offers four world’s tallest peaks, with Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. From Gokyo, towards the final destination to Everest Base Camp, crossing over a high Cho-La Pass.
An ever-exciting and big day of the adventure, climb over a moraine of rocks to the top of Cho-La Pass. Enjoy the fantastic views after a tough haul to Cho-La Pass, facing a close look of Cholatse. Includes Lobuche with Nirekha peaks, enjoying the dramatic scenic steep descent to the eastern base at Dzongla. From Dzongla, the walk leads to join the main trail towards Everest Base Camp, with a stopover in Lobuche. The walk then heads across a glacial moraine of rocks and boulders above Khumbu Glacier to Gorakshep. The last temporary settlement en route to Everest base camp, the walk follows east with stunning scenery of giant peaks. The walk finally reaches beneath the towering mountain range of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse at Everest base camp. Stand amidst remorseless fields of ice and glaciers with a dramatic scenery similar to arctic landscapes.
After completing the main highlights and targets of the journey, the last final adventure takes you to the highest point. On top of Kalapathar rocky hill ridge,
a popular viewpoint for the closest look at Everest and Mt. Pumori.
Facing a jaw-dropping panorama of the massif range of the Himalayan peaks, return journey on the main route to Namche Bazaar. Then to Lukla for the last overnight stop around the high Khumbu and Everest region.
